The Greenleaf Garden Club of Milford will hold its first meeting of 2026 on Monday, February 9 at the Ruth Anne Bleakney Senior Center at 60 North Bow Street in Milford. Meet and greet and refreshments begin at 5:45 p.m. The business meeting begins at 6:15, and the program at 7:00 p.m.
Betsy Szymczak will present a talk on “Plant Parenthood”.
This is about the propagation of popular houseplants including various techniques such as stem, leaf, and petiole cuttings. Tips on early spring propagations of popular summer beddings plants will be included.
Betsy retired from 35 + years of teaching clinical microbiology at several Boston area colleges and universities. Betsy says, ” I’ve combined my passion for gardening and my love of teaching into a series of engaging lectures that I have delivered to garden clubs across New England.”
Guests are welcome to attend. A donation of $5 is requested from non-members.
