2025-26 Program/Meeting Schedule
Meetings/Programs are held at the Ruth Anne Bleakney Senior Center, 60 North Bow St., Milford. Board meetings begin at 5 pm, Meet & Greet and refreshments begin at 5:45, Business meetings at 6:15 and Programs at 7:00
September 15, 2025 – Board meeting, Meet & Greet, Business Meeting, Program. Program is “Flowers, Health and Healing” by Suzanne Faith. We will learn how to creatively use flowers and color to improve our health and enhance our mood.
October 20, 2025 – Board meeting, Meet & Greet, Business Meeting, Program. Program is “Organic Pest Management” by Natalie Tessicini. Gardening can go from relaxing to frustrating when you find a dreaded pest infestation. We will learn how to remedy this from entomologist Natalie.
November 17, 2025 – Fall Fundraiser Our annual fall fundraiser includes refreshments, raffle baskets and a floral arranging program by Sara Vono-Caires. Sara is the owner of Fern and Fable, a wedding floral company. She will share with us how to create beautiful arrangements.
December 15, 2025- Board meeting, Meet & Greet, Business Meeting, Program. Program will be a Christmas centerpiece workshop.
January, 2026 – No Meetings/Program
February 9, 2026 – Board meeting, Meet & Greet, Business Meeting, Program. Program is “Plant Parenthood” by Betsy Szymczak. This program focuses on propagation of popular houseplants using various techniques such as stem, leaf and petiole cuttings.
March 9, 2026 – Board meeting, Meet & Greet, Business Meeting, Program. Program is “Seed Starting” by Gretel Anspach. Gretel will show us how to get a jump on the season by starting plants from seed.
April 13, 2026 – Board meeting, Meet & Greet, Business Meeting, Program. Program is “Growing Dahlias, Peonies & More” by Shea Maloney. Shea is from Riddle Brook Farm which cultivates cut flowers, gourmet mushrooms and colorful pasture-raised eggs in Douglas, MA.
May 9. 2026 – Plant Sale at Louisa Lake
May 11, 2026 – Pizza Party – Business meeting to wrap up the year and to elect next year’s officers. No program.
June , 2026 Annual Meeting Banquet Our annual dinner to celebrate the year’s accomplishments and install our new officers.
